Taking birdwatching and sunsets to a new level. 🐦 🥃

Anyone geocache? We’ve done it for years but we’ve been doing a lot more lately. It’s a good social distancing activity! It’s pretty easy if you’ve never done it. All you need is a Geocache account (free or payed versions), a smart phone or gps device, some trinkets to leave behind and someone willing to go into the woods and stick their hands in holes. (Kidding but not kidding. Take a stick, look for things that bite.) Caches come in sizes ranging from micro to ammo boxes. Some are very creatively hidden, like at the bottom of a fake plant 📷 or inside a plastic bug, 📷! A little note about trinkets, small is good. Sometimes when online ordering, things might appear smaller then actual size.🦖 😆

You always hope that when your camper power goes o

You always hope that when your camper power goes out you will look around and see that EVERYONES power has gone out. We now have a new power plug inlet. 🔌 Keeping it real.

A few more birds from the Silver River. (Plus a couple of 🐊 and 🐢’s)
There was a Cormorant nesting area with several moms and their young. Also pictured, little blue heron, tri-color heron, green heron, wood duck pair 🦆
(🤞🏻hopefully I got those identified correctly!)

Can’t say you see monkeys everyday you paddle, 🐒. But the Silver River has never let us down. We did a 10 mile paddle up to the head water springs and back this year. (Back is A LOT easier!! Over 500 million gallons of water flow from the springs.💧 ) I’m not the biggest fan of monkeys but they are so fascinating to watch. The love that the families give their babies is touching. If you ever paddle this river make sure you keep your distance and respect them. No feeding! 🍌

It’s been a while since we’ve done a moonlight paddle but what fun. The bats were flying and the frogs were croaking. 🦇 🐸 🛶 I’m sure we looked liked a bunch of large fireflies floating down the river to the locals!
